We do screenshots too (auto-classified into coding / general / behavioral), but the bigger workflow is Live Audio Sessions: ⌘L to start, the AI listens to the other side, drafts a 3–5 sentence answer when they pause, and surfaces it on the side panel. Works for behavioral rounds, system design, sales calls, and meetings — anywhere the question isn't on a screen.

Save your resume and the role's JD on the dashboard. Every Live Audio answer and every general/behavioral screenshot answer is grounded in your real experience and the role's required skills. Behavioral prompts come back in explicit STAR format with a likely follow-up question. InterviewCoder doesn't do this — answers are generic to the problem, not personalized to you.

Transcripts never leave your device

Every Live Audio session is auto-saved when it ends — full transcript, AI answers, translations — encrypted at rest with the OS keychain (Keychain on macOS, DPAPI on Windows). ⌘⇧H opens the searchable archive: full-text search across past sessions, Markdown / JSON export. Nothing uploaded to our servers, ever.

Isn't InterviewCoder now Cluely?

Roy Lee, the original InterviewCoder developer, launched Cluely as a broader live-audio meeting copilot in 2025. The original InterviewCoder product still exists as a screenshot-based coding tool. We have a separate comparison page for Cluely if you're evaluating that — it's the more apples-to-apples comparison since both Cluely and InterviewCodeAssist are live-audio copilots.

How is InterviewCodeAssist different from InterviewCoder?

Two main differences. (1) Workflow: InterviewCoder is screenshot-only — you capture coding problems and get solutions. We add a full Live Audio path that captures the other side of any video call and generates real-time answers, plus a quiet meeting mode. (2) Personalization: our answers are grounded in your resume and the role's JD; InterviewCoder gives generic answers to the problem.

Does it capture my microphone?

No. Production builds capture only system audio (the other side of the call coming through your speakers) — never your microphone. Your own voice during a session is not recorded, transcribed, or transmitted anywhere.

Will it work on the same coding platforms as InterviewCoder?

Yes. The screenshot workflow (⌘S to capture, ⌘Return to analyze) works alongside any browser-based platform — LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeSignal, CoderPad, custom HR portals. Same as InterviewCoder.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — the free plan lets you run every flow with blurred output so you can verify the live-audio capture, the screenshot path, and the screen-share behavior on your machine before subscribing. No credit card.
